You do not need to purchase bulk SMS. Simply connect your own Android phone to the application as the SMS gateway. All SMS will be sent or received through the connected Android phone. You can choose the mobile subscription package that gives you the cheapest SMS rates in the market yourself. Your phone need not be dedicated for the application.

The key features of SMS Communications Manager include:

• Automated Tasks: Design, run, track and analyze SMS campaigns. Interactive SMS such as auto-responder, polling and opt out tracking are supported. Detailed analytical report is produced for each task.

• Web SMS: Send and receive SMS manually from the web conveniently.

• Inbound SMS: Live viewing, tagging and storing of all inbound SMS sent to your phone on the web. This is useful for receiving and analyzing SMS responses to radio, TV or print ads

You can access SMS Communications Manager from the universal navigation bar of Google Apps without additional login. It is integrated with Google Contacts and Gmail. SMS Communications Manager runs entirely on Google App Engine, the same systems that power Google applications.

Reviews of SMS Communications Manager

THIS has been what I have been searching high and low for!! A way to send SMS's from a web interface and have them delivered to the recipient as if it was sent straight from the handset...You won't find any of those weird numbers or ad-riddled texts here! Just a straight-forward, simple and dependable handset-to-desktop/desktop-to-recipient sync strategy. The UI could use a little polish, but that's not as important as functionality.
