TravelDroyd for Nagoya (Japan)
With TravelDroyd we offer a large selection
of multi-lingual travel guides ("Travel Books") covering many cities
and metropolitan areas worldwide. Berlin, the capital
of Germany, and Stuttgart, the beautiful city where
our company is located, is already included free of charge. You can
download and install many additional Travel Books from the Android
Market or SlideME.
Our internationalized books include street
maps and point of interests for many regions in 20 different languages.
Each travel guide includes all Wikipedia articles (except pictures and
images) for the corresponding area. We compile and distribute original
Wikipedia content in 20 different languages and automatically install
the language matching your phone's language settings. For example, if
your phone is set to "German" you end up downloading a TraveDroyd book
in German, which means the German (de) Wikipedia book. However, you can
switch to another Wikipedia language whenever you want.
Every TravelDroyd Book includes a detailed
street map for the downloaded metropolitan area or region. Our maps are
based on OpenStreetMap
content and updated regularly. You can pan the map in any direction and
continiously zoom in or out. TravelDroyd supports pinch zoom
("multi-touch") for Android platforms 2.x and higher. Map controls
allow you to rotate your maps and align the view back to north
orientation. A "long-click" on the map places a pin which labels the
underlying street, place, POI, or other objects.
Select "Find" from the main menu to search
for streets, places, point of interest, and even Wikipedia articles.
Enter your search text in the upper text field and you will see
matching results while typing. Search for categorized POI (point of
interests) in your neighborhood and view the full Wikipedia article
offline on your phone.
Calculate routes between two arbitrary points and get turn-by-turn
directions for both
pedestrians and driving a car. A navigation feature (guidance) will be
added soon. Or, get directions from your current location (GPS) to the
nearest restaurant, hotel, landmark, and many more interesting places.
