Fundox is a free multiplayer word game, which 2 to 4 players can play against each other.

It combines the rules of Scrabble-like games and tactical board gimes like Reversi / Othello.

Rules of the game

The board consists of a grid with 13x13 squares and a rack of 7 letter tiles. Like in Reversi (Othello) you can "steal" the tiles placed by your opponents.

Each player has is own color : the first plays red tiles, the second green tiles, then blue and yellow for players #3 and #4.

When a player extends one or more word "owned" by an opponent, they "steal" these words and the corresponding points.

For instance :

Player #1 has placed "FILLED" (red tiles, 5 points). Player #2 (green) extends it with "UN" : "UNFILLED". The entire word becomes green, player #2 scores 8 points (he has stolen the 6 points of "FILLED")... and player #1 loses 6 points.

Because of these scoring rules, Fundox is much more "aggressive" and tactical than usual Scrabble-like games.

Other differences are :

• All players share the same rack.
• Each letter scores one point.
• There are no "premium squares".
• The board is smaller (13x13) for faster games.
• The game is over when one of the players has reached a predefined score (not when there are no remaining tiles).

Features

Unlike most multiplayer word game for mobile devices, Fundox is a real time game (not asynchronous). Generally, you have between 35 and 50 seconds to place a word. Games last between 10 and 20 minutes, according to the options retained by the "captain".

All connected players are gathered in a common space (the lobby). You can chat with them and send / receive private messages.

Three rooms are available : "English", "French" and "German".

Before starting your first game, you can observe running games to understand the rules. Game tables accept an unlimited number of observers.
