Speed Forge 3D (Updated to v1.2)

MARS 2142....
It has been 60 years since the colonization and thousands of factories and mines have sprung up across miles of the inhospitable Red Planet.
In the past decade, industries prospered leading to vast settlements of over half a million inhabitants.
Crime is rampant, time is abundant and the citizens are looking for some entertainment...
"Speed Forge": Heavy duty hover vehicles, normally used for mining are now seen in illegal races organized in abondoned factories and dark Marsian alleys. The rock crushing explosives once used in these machines now serve a different purpose...

Important game features:
* Full 3D graphics
* Realistic physic simulation
* 6 very different tracks
* 3 vehicles (each with different physical properties)
* Weaponry: mines and homing rockets

New in version 1.2
* Sensitivity setting added to options
* 2 acceleration mode (auto and by phone tilt)
* 3 Difficulty levels
* Some minor bugs fixed

It is recommended to turn off music to increase game performance.

We've been informed that the game has some compatibility problems with Samsung i7500/Galaxy (some graphic artifacts and only 2 frames per second).

Update We contacted Samsung support. Games is being tested on a newest Galaxy software. We are very sorry for inconvenience.

Not working on Android 2.1 Scroll Touch Pad

I bought the game and the compatibility utility said there was no problem.

The opening screen shows, along with the instructions and then music plays. It then goes to the start/options screen but will not proceed any further and locks.

The Touch Pad has 256MB of onboard RAM.

Any ideas?

Installed on Motorola Dext(Cliq), not working? OpenGL issue?

Hello,

I installed on a recently acquired Motorola Dext, which is the same as Cliq (MB200). It seems there is a problem with any OpenGL rendering, since I can't see anything... not the ships on the ship selection screen, not anything once the games loads up.

I saw on the Motorola site there is an issue with VBO on the Cliq (http://community.developer.motorola.com/mtrl/board/message?board.id=Andr...), could this be related???

I have System version: Blur_Version.0.11.8.MB200.AmericaMovil.en.mx, and no available updates :(

I also found a post on anddev where they found a solution to hw acceleration on the Samsung Galaxy (http://www.anddev.org/samsung_galaxy_odd_ogl_es_hardware_acceleration_re...), although I'm not sure if this helps with VBO as well (has to do with color depth)

I got this for development, and I'm interested on whatever workaround is workable, so, if I can be of any help testing code or an test apk on the device to help you to fix this, let me know.

I''d much rather help you than get a refund :) I will try to get a log from logcat, and see if this helps at all...

(I found you on mobentoo looking for options, since the Android Market still does not show priced apps, and won't let me become a merchant yet... I'm in Mexico and the Dext was released a few weeks ago, so, that may be part of the problem)

UPDATE: sent you email to info@ratsquare.pl with more info

You can get 3d working on the galaxy perfectly if you root your device and do what is explained here:

Will it be released for iPhone?

This game looks way cool!

I love WipeOut and have played 'Low Grav Racer' on the iPhone.

Will it be released for iPhone?

Reviews of Speed Forge 3D

A well made and fun game. The controls lag a bit, but everything on my phone that uses the accelerometer lags a bit. The impressive thing is that the game is still fun even with the lag.

Very unusable on internet tablet without hardware trackball.
Could you please add extra onscreen button for accelerate and menu?

Great game, especially if you love Wipeout, and the first released game since the second Mystique chapter to show off what Android phones can really do with OpenGL ES. Every Android gamer needs to buy this game - it's awesome, and it's useful for sending Google a message: people all over want to buy and sell apps, and they can't, and Google needs to sort that out.

Because Android people can buy all the good games from alternative markets like SlideME in the future, if that's what it comes to. Google doesn't have to make a dime on app sales if they want to keep this up.

This is definitly the best game i've seen for android until now.
The graphics are good, the handling is nice.
It's nearly perfect.
